If you can learn to be good at mass communications - with strong verbal and written communication skills, teamwork and leadership skills, and the ability to absorb large quantities of information quickly and sum it up succinctly - you'll make your mark in a wide ranging career field.
You may find employment in advertising, radio/TV broadcasting electronic media, journalism or public relations. Whatever field you choose, you'll have a distinct advantage when entering the job market, because you'll know how to communicate well.
Our mass communication courses include radio and television production, public relations, editing techniques and media internships. Our program is built around the Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree. This degree gives you a solid two-year background in general education courses that can transfer to a four-year institution.
While MCC does not offer a degree in this field, these freshman- and sophomore-level courses will transfer to a four-year college or university. Depending on your chosen major, these courses may apply toward your degree or as electives.
