Steps to enroll

Your next step:  apply online for free.

Note: Every MCC student must complete the following tasks.  You will find the tasks in your myMCCKC account:

• Financial responsibility statement
• TB survey

After applying to MCC, make sure you complete these steps:

• Follow the steps emailed to you to set up your myMCCKC system log in.
• Send MCC your high school transcript, any official college transcripts (including dual credit course), and any ACT scores:

• Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and include MCC’s School Code: 002484.
  Attend a New Student Advising and Enrollment Session. An email invitation will automatically be sent to you to register for a session of your choice. During your session we will help you enroll in your classes.

• Meet with your Student Success Advisor to review your remaining requirements

We are glad you are choosing to continue your educational career with us. If you’ve been away from MCC for more than one year, you need to reapply to ensure your information is current. 

If you’ve been away for less than one year, follow the steps in the Current MCC Student section to register for classes. 

Helpful Tips

• Visit your campus Enrollment Center for assistance with advising, registration and financial services.
• Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and include MCC’s School Code: 002484.

Step 1: Apply to MCC

Step 2: Transcripts and Testing

• Send official transcripts from any previous college for evaluation and placement. Ready to send your transcripts to MCC? Visit National Student Clearinghouse to request your e-transcripts to be sent to MCC.
• Determine if testing is necessary by taking this survey.

Step 3: Plan your schedule

• Visit your campus Enrollment Center for assistance with advising, registration and financial services. 
• View class offerings to build your schedule.

Step 4: Enroll

• Enroll in your classes through on Registration Dashboard in your myMCCKC portal.

There are a variety of ways for students to earn college credit before graduating from high school.

You can enroll in dual credit (taught at the high school by high school instructors) courses, dual enrollment (taught at an MCC campus or online) courses, or participate in an Early College Academy (structured program with participating high schools, where students take several courses per semester at an MCC campus).
