The Public Safety Institute is one of the Midwest's best training academy for peace officers, firefighters and paramedics. For example the MCC Fire Academy is accredited and offers training authorized by the state of Missouri's Division of Fire Safety. Additionally, the police academy has provided certified training since 1996. 

In addition to training students to become peace officers and firefighters, the Public Safety Institute offers continuing education required for current peace officers and firefighters.
