Associate of Arts in Teaching Degree (A.A.)
Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.) one of MCC's transfer degrees, lays the foundation needed for teacher certification and is fully transferable to teacher education programs at colleges and universities across the state. Students who complete the A.A.T. will be required to meet all entrance requirements of the educator preparation program at the institution they transfer to, including grade point average and/or testing requirements. Students will be exposed to the full spectrum of primary education and can specialize in teaching:
- Early Childhood
- Elementary Education
- Middle School Education
- Music, Art, Physical Education, Foreign Language or Family and Consumer Science Education
- Secondary/High School Education
