MCC was well represented at this year’s Queens of the Diamond softball event. MCC employees and student-athlete participants included: Autumn H., Kary K., Sue G., Kaitlin K., Coral J., Taneisha A., Ellen C., Dalena B., Kaley K., Kyra M. and Alahna W.

MCC continued a longtime tradition this year by participating in Queens of the Diamond, a women’s softball event supporting the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy.

Launched in 2018, Queens of the Diamond brings together women from organizations across Kansas City for softball, networking and community support while raising funds for girls’ softball and academic enrichment programs at the Academy.

MCC employees and student-athletes have participated since the event began, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for young people in our community.

MCC has also enjoyed success on the field, capturing its first Queens of the Diamond tournament championship in 2024.

For MCC, the event is about more than softball — it’s an opportunity to support women, build connections and help create opportunities for the next generation.
