FALL 2023 / RATE / RATE 165Radiologic Technology
RATE 165 - Patient Care (3 credits)
Prerequisite: RATE 160 with a grade of C or better or concurrent enrollment in RATE 160. This course provides the concepts of optimal patient care, including consideration for the physical and psychological needs of the patient and family. Routine and emergency patient care procedures are described, as well as infection control procedures using standard precautions. The role of the radiographer in patient education is identified.
