English As A Second Language

ESL 29 - Intermediate I: Reading and Composition (6 credits)

Prerequisites: Successful completion of ESL 19 Novice II: Composition, and successful completion or concurrent enrollment in ESL 28 Intermediate I: Grammar, or appropriate ESL placement score. This course focuses on low-intermediate college-level reading and writing skills. There is explicit instruction in low-intermediate critical reading strategies as well as writing of one- and two-paragraph compositions.
