MCC’s Book Bundle Program is a course material delivery model that simplifies the student experience, lowers the cost of materials, and ensures students have access to all required course materials on or before the first day of class.
MCC’s Book Bundle program will be implemented for the Fall 2026 semester.
Through this innovative program, physical books are conveniently packaged and provided to students on a rental basis, and access to digital material is directly within the Learning Management System (Canvas), simply priced at $24 per credit hour. At the end of the term, students will receive email reminders to return rented physical course materials to the bookstore.
-
- Register for your classes, and the Bookstore will start preparing your course materials
- One month before classes start, you will receive an email instructing you to select your delivery preference (in-store pickup or shipped directly to you)
- An email notification will be sent when your order is ready for pickup or when it ships
- Your digital materials will be delivered for your course(s) within Canvas
-
All students are automatically enrolled in MCC’s Book Bundle program.
Important exclusions: MCC’s Book Bundle does not apply to:
- Workforce and Economic Development students (non-credit students)
- Dual credit high school students taking classes at the high school
-
The program provides all required physical textbooks and digital materials, access codes, and required lab manuals to students.
-

-
All students will be automatically enrolled in MCC’s Book Bundle Program.
-
The cost is $24 per credit hour. This covers course materials that are required for the course.
-
Students will receive email notifications from the Bookstore reminding them to verify their order and choose their fulfillment preference. If the student does not opt out, their materials will be held at the Bookstore, and their student account will be charged.
-
You can pay for the Book Bundle using any of the same payment options available for tuition, including:
- Financial aid (automatically applied, if eligible)
- Payment plans
- Scholarships
- Pay in full
The payment deadline for the Book Bundle charge is the same as your tuition deadline. There is no separate due date.
Partial payments are only available if you are enrolled in a payment plan. -
If you opt out of the Book Bundle program, your refund will be issued during the college’s standard refund process after the semester begins.
You will not see the refund immediately after opting out. Refunds are processed according to the college’s regular refund timeline.- If you paid out of pocket, your refund will be issued back to your original payment method.
- If financial aid covered the charge, the amount will be credited back to your account.
To receive your refund as quickly as possible, students are encouraged to enroll in direct deposit.
-
The deadline to return all rental textbooks is the last day of final exams for the semester. Students will receive reminders to their email address ahead of the rental deadline.
-
If course materials have been picked up or delivered for the dropped class, those materials should be returned to the Bookstore within 48 hours. If you drop a class and enroll in a different class, the Bookstore will “swap” the required course materials so that you have what you need.
-
If you add an 8-week class after the semester has started, you will receive your materials for that class through the Book Bundle program, and your account will be charged accordingly.
If you already opted out of the program, you will remain opted out, and you will not receive materials through the Book Bundle for the added class.
-
You will receive reminders from the bookstore asking you to return any materials that are overdue.
If rental materials are not returned, you will be assessed a replacement cost and non-return processing fee.
The replacement cost is 75% of the new book price at the time of purchase. The non-return processing fee is 7.5% of the new book price at the time of purchase.
