Attend a Wolf Pack Welcome Session

After you enroll in classes, new students are expected to attend a Wolf Pack Welcome. This is offered the week before classes begin and is critical for new students to get a strong start at MCC.

In fact, we find that students who attend earn a higher GPA than those who don’t. Students will learn what it takes to be successful inside the classroom and what kind of enrichment opportunities are available outside the classroom. This will be a fun-filled, and highly informative session designed to help new students successfully transition to college life at MCC.

Options will also be available for students to purchase textbooks and obtain an MCC student ID and/or parking pass. The estimated time to complete this session is approximately 2.5 hours.

To register for a Wolf Pack Welcome, complete the following steps: 

  1. Log In to your myMCCKC account.
    • Use your student credentials to log in  
  2. Find the event card
    1. On your dashboard, look for a card labeled “Upcoming Events” or something similar
    2. Click the card to view available events
  3. Select your event
    • Browse the list of events, Note: (BR = Blue River; LV = Longview; MW = Maple Woods; PV = Penn Valley)
  4. Register
    • Click the “Register” or "Sign-Up" button for the event you plan to attend 

Complete the Online Wolf Pack Orientation

Students will receive an email with a link to the online Wolf Pack Orientation learning modules from college2success.com/mcckc  after completing a New Student Advising and Enrollment Session.

This online, self-paced program is full of tips and tools to help you navigate your college journey. Whether you are brand-new or returning to college after an extended break, students are highly encouraged to complete all modules before the start of classes so you can get a jumpstart on your success. The estimated time to complete the online orientation is approximately 60 minutes.
