We encourage you to complete your Student Center “TO DO” list by the priority dates. This is when our financial aid offices' high volume period starts.
Partners in Excellence Grants:
For MCC service area high school or home school juniors or seniors who demonstrate college readiness and are recommended by their high school or home school counselors. This award will not exceed the amount of in-district tuition for one course.
For MCC service area high school or home school graduates recommended by a high school superintendent or a home school official (or their designees). To maintain the award, recipients must maintain a 2.0 GPA. Eligibility is good for one year following graduation and is limited to 30 credit hours.
Program Enhancement Grant:
Campus presidents may designate awards for specific programs. Recipients must be enrolled in at least six credit hours each semester, demonstrate academic progress annually and have a 2.0 GPA (or documentation of 2.0 equivalency) to be considered for renewal of this award. Specific selection and renewal criteria are determined by the campus president.
Student Development Grants
Recognizes students who show potential for achievement through leadership and personal involvement in college activities. Recipients must maintain a 2.0 GPA to be considered for renewal.
Must be enrolled full time, be engaged in intercollegiate athletics and comply with National Junior College Athletic Association requirements. The coach recommends recipients.
Student Activities Grant
Must be enrolled at least half time and be extensively involved in a college-sanctioned activity. The activity sponsor recommends recipients.
Academic Development Grant (Grant-in-Aid)
Must demonstrate a need for financial support. The funds are awarded at the discretion of the financial aid office for one semester with provisions for renewal upon review of academic progress. Recipients must be enrolled at least half time.
