This Veterans Day, all five campuses are coming together to recognize and thank our veterans for their service and sacrifice.
From tributes and displays to thank-you cards, donation drives and special recognition events, MCC invites students, employees and the community to join us in showing our appreciation.

Fallen Comrade Table Display
Location: Campus Center Lobby
A table reserved to honor our missing comrades in arms. Pay humble tribute and bear

MCC-Maple Woods - November 11
Gratitude for Service
Location: Maple Woods Student Center
9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Write thank-you cards and notes of appreciation to veterans. Contact Kaitlyn Kelley for further details.
MCC-Blue River - November 11
Veterans Day Donation Drive
Location: Campus Center Lobby
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Support Kansas City veterans through the Veterans Community Project. Pack a snack
bag for a veteran and/or bring NEW socks to donate. Contact Victoria Rice for further details.
MCC-Longview - November 11
Location: Campus Center and Wolf’s Den
9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Stop by the Den to engage with our interactive POW/MIA table, featuring thank-you
cards, patriotic bracelets, and commemorative coins for student veterans. A large
banner will fly outside Campus Center, thanking veterans for their service and sacrifice.

MCC-Online Veterans Recognition
Location: Health Science Institute, HSI 402P

A “red poppy table” and display highlighting veterans from across the campus community, designed primarily for students and employees. A large banner outside the Campus Center thanking veterans for their service and sacrifice.
