Commencement for the Class of 2026 graduates
Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Cable Dahmer Arena
Ceremony times: 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
As an MCC graduate, on behalf of the Chancellor, faculty, staff and the MCC community,
we invite you to participate in our annual commencement ceremony.
Campus Grad Bag Events
Students who registered for Commencement, you will receive a reminder message with your campus selection and commencement time. The dates for each campus Grad Bag event are as follows:

The commencement ceremony, cap, gown and tassel will be provided free of charge.
If you are unable to attend the Grad Bag Event, please visit your campus bookstore on May 11 - 19 during normal business hours to pick up your regalia and commencement items.
What if I haven't registered for Commencement?
That's okay. Registration is closed; however, you may still participate in Commencement.
You can go to any campus Grad Bag event and pick up your regalia and other commencement
items on the dates listed above, and you can choose between the two ceremony times
-- 1 p.m. or 6 p.m.*
*Please note: The 6 p.m. ceremony will be packed and seating will be limited for those who arrive
late.
All family and friends are welcome to attend; tickets are not required.

Looking back at 2025
Metropolitan Community College’s Class of 2025 received fond sendoffs at commencement, with two ceremonies at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence.
The 6 p.m. program drew around 600 graduates and 4,500 guests, while the earlier 1 p.m. ceremony hosted 300 grads and about 2,500 family members and friends.
In all, 2,141 MCC students were candidates for graduation, earning 2,567 credentials: associate degrees and certificates.
