2025 Commencement
In early February, all students eligible to apply for graduation will receive a text message inviting you to participate in Metropolitan Community College’s 2025 commencement ceremony to be held Thursday, May 22, at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence.
MCC will hold two commencement ceremonies, so grads will choose to participate at either 1 p.m. or 6 p.m. Grads are welcome to invite family and friends to attend; no tickets required.
Commencement registration
When you receive the text message, be sure to tap the link provided to complete two important steps:
- Register for the commencement ceremony of your choice.
- Registering for commencement will ensure you receive reminders and event updates. You will also have the ability to easily share announcements and commencement information with your friends and family.
- Sign up for a Grad Bag event.
- During the Grad Bag event, you will receive your complimentary cap and gown, tassel, an MCC graduation medallion and five graduation announcements.
If, for any reason, you do not receive a text message, you may register using the link below. (Be sure to confirm with your Student Success Advisor that you are, in fact, eligible to graduate.)
