ENGR 223 - Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer (4 credits)
Prerequisite: MATH 190 & PHYS 220. Properties of pure substance, work and heat, the first law of thermodynamics, the second law of thermodynamics, entropy, irreversibility, exergy (availability), and some power and refrigeration cycles. Introduction to heat transfer, thermal conduction, convective heat transfer, and thermal radiation.
