SPRING 2025 / WELD / WELD 271

Welding

WELD 271 - Flux Core Arc Welding I (FCAW) Lab (2 credits)

Prerequisite: WELD 270 or concurrent enrollment. Student will develop skills using the theory and techniques of flux cored arc welding, both self-shielded and gas-shielded. This will include fillet welds and groove welds in all positions on carbon steel plates and pipe. The student will also identify and initiate recommended repairs for given weld defects.
