FALL 2024 / HIM / HIM 207Health Information Management
HIM 207 - Clinical Classification Systems - PCS (3 credits)
Prerequisite: HIM 115, HIM 120, HIM 130, HIM 135, with a grade of C or better, and Formal Admittance to the Health Information Management Program. Students are required to validate procedure code assignments based on the common root operations for the body system as well as devices and qualifiers that are unique to the body system. Students develop an understanding for the need of quality information and standards of ethical coding.
