Legal and Paralegal Studies

LEGL 100 - Introduction to Legal and Paralegal Studies (3 credits)

This course presents an introduction to the American legal system and the paralegal profession. Students will examine the roles and responsibilities of paralegals and other professionals in the the legal field. Students will be introduced to various types of law, as well as an introduction to legal research, writing, and ethics. Students will complete course assignments similar to the work a paralegal might be given in a law firm setting.
