MCC-Business and Technology Tutoring

All MCC physical locations are closed and will continue to provide online resources and services. We have compiled all information regarding essential resources in one place. Visit for complete and up-to-date information.

The Learning Center at MCC-Business and Technology provides students opportunities to achieve their educational goals through tutoring*, study groups, handouts, workshops, and computer tutorials. Use of the Learning Center and its resources is free for MCC students. The Learning Center is located in Room 176G, inside the MCC-Business and Technology Library. Organizing a group of students for tutoring is also encouraged. Tutoring is available during regular class sessions. Please contact the Learning Center for hours, as they may change from semester to semester.

*Tutoring is provided on a first come first serve basis. One-on-one tutoring is not guaranteed, and you may have to wait for assistance. If many students are present, a Learning Specialist will be rotating among students.

We provide assistance in math, reading**, writing**, study skills, test-taking strategies, as well as basic computer support. In addition, we have computers and a printer available for students to use.

**For reading and writing support, we encourage students to contact the Learning Center in advance to ensure the proper support is available.

The BT Learning Center provides several math workshops throughout the year covering content from basic math skills to college algebra, as well as on study skills, time management, and note-taking.  We will also provide student requested workshops. Call the BT Learning Center or email for more information.

Here are some tips for taking full advantage of tutoring services:

  1. Bring your textbook, assignment directions, class notes, and syllabus to the tutoring session.
  2. Come prepared with questions for the tutor.
  3. Plan Ahead - don't wait until the day of the test to visit us.
  4. Attend class every day, as tutoring is not a substitute for class attendance. If you miss class, and aren’t sure what steps to take to get caught up, feel free to talk to any of our Learning Specialists.
