As security threats become more localized, agencies are placing an emphasis on close quarters and tactical training. We offer two large mat rooms that can handle up to 48 trainees at a time. Our clients have access to four situational rooms - equipped with audio and visual recording equipment - that can be configured in a variety of real-world scenarios. Additionally, our collaborative relationship with local law enforcement means our trainees have access to a top-of-the-line, interactive firing range that can accommodate a wide variety of ordnance.

One of the things that makes the MCC-Blue River Public Safety Institute stand out is its state-of-the-art precision driving track. Located on 56 acres, this facility is designed to simulate various driving situations and conditions. Since its opening in October 2007, more than 60 public safety agencies have improved their skills on our urban driving course, our 200' x 200' skills pad and our 200' x 500' skid pad.

While we have computer labs, libraries, a cafeteria and classrooms that can seat between 50 to 100 people, the learning environment at the PSI also extends beyond our campus. There are several vacant buildings within five miles of the campus that are available to rent for simulated raids or undercover operations.

But this is just a snapshot of what we're offering today for cadets. Our future plans call for a more robust array of training facilities aimed at providing law enforcement personnel at all levels from local police forces to federal law enforcement agencies. On the current and future facilities pages, we've provided some detailed information about the facilities we currently have in place as well as our plans for future enhancments - all of which can be built to suit any agency wanting to partner with us.
