Software developers are the creative minds behind computer programs. Some develop applications that allow people to do specific tasks on a computer or another device. Others develop the underlying systems that run the devices or that control networks.
Software developers usually have a bachelor's degree, typically in computer science, software development or software engineering. However, some organizations such as Cerner hires students who have completed our program with an Associate in Applied Science in Software Development.
