We offer nearly 40 courses and hundreds of classes for everyone - from beginners to music majors. These include a full slate of vocal and instrumental courses as well as private music lessons, music theory, music appreciation, evolution of jazz, midi music production and music education.
Some campuses join with local arts organizations to give students expanded educational opportunities. You could also perform with a chorale, band, jazz ensemble, or symphony and receive college credit.
Metropolitan Chorale of Kansas City
Approximately 50 musicians from the Kansas City area and the Metropolitan Community College breathe life into a wide variety of choral music.
Under the direction of Dr. Rebecca Johnson, the chorale has performed throughout Missouri and from coast to coast, including performances with the San Diego Symphony, for Independence Day Celebrations in Washington DC, and for the Missouri Music Educators Convention. The chorale made its international debut in 2006 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
