Discuss transfer options with visiting colleges and universities. These events are held periodically at MCC; contact your nearest advising office for more information.
Transfer made simple
Many MCC students plan to transfer. Whatever your transfer destination, we'll work to make sure your credits move easily. That's why we're experts at it.
We've worked out specific transfer agreements with many four-year colleges and universities, so make sure you speak with an academic before enrolling, particularly since transfer agreements can change based on curriculum revisions at MCC as well as our four-year institutions.
Also, transfer requirements vary for different majors and four-year colleges and universities. In some cases, an associate degree equals the first two years of a bachelor's degree, while in other cases, an associate degree may not be necessary to transfer.
Therefore, it's essential to meet with an advisor or counselor early to make sure you enroll in classes that will transfer.
Transfer to MCC
For students seeking to transfer into MCC from a previous institution, follow these steps.
Transfer requirements vary so it's important you meet with an advisor or counselor early on to make sure you're enrolling in classes that will transfer. You should select as soon as possible a four-year transfer school and your major area of study.
To report a problem with the Transfer Policy
Missouri's Coordinating Board for Higher Education has approved a Credit Transfer Policy that stipulates guidelines for student transfer and articulation among Missouri Public colleges and universities. All public institutions have agreed to abide by the principles contained within the policy.
Any transfer student who belies there has been unfair treatment involving acceptance of college credits may contact the college's articulation officer. A transfer student may invoke the transfer appeals process to challenge an institutional decision to accept credit(*s) from regionally accredited colleges or universities.
To report problems and appeal decisions, please contact the MCC's articulation officer at the address and phone number below:
