Application periods
- Fall Start/Admission Application Period: April 1 to June 15.
- Spring Start/Admission Application Period: Application opens July 1 and closes October 15 for preferential admission, regular deadline of November 1.
Admission criteria to the program are subject to change without notice. If changes are made to the admission criteria, the applicant will need to meet all requirements that are in effect at the time of application.
Successful completion of the requirements necessary for admission to the program does not guarantee acceptance to the program.

Send official college and university transcripts from all previous institutions to the Metropolitan Community College, Data Center
If classes were completed at MCC, an MCC transcript is not required.

Check out and apply for types of aid available to MCC Students
- Apply for aid and complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). MCC's school code is 002484.

Submit test scores or college transcripts or take the ACCUPLACER
- Course placement is used to determine what courses students are eligible to take. In order to complete course placement, you can take the ACCUPLACER exam or submit ACT scores.
- Test scores are valid for three years from date of test.
- If your READ placement is READ 10 or READ 11, you will need to complete the developmental reading course sequence before you start the paramedic program.
- Previously completed college credits may result in you not needing to complete course placement.
- If your math course placement is MATH 95 or below, you will need to complete the sequence through completion of MATH 95.

Program Prerequisites
You must have your State EMT license and
Verify you have taken (or will be taking*) the courses below.
Each of these courses must be completed with the grade of "C" or better.
- HLSC100 - online 8 week class
- HLSC108 - Anatomy and Physiology for Allied Health professions OR
- BIOL109 OR
- BIOL110 and BIOL210
- HLSC100 - online 8 week class

Complete program application and submit with all required documentation:

- letters of reference,
- essay

The student will be contacted for an interview, then notified if accepted into the program.
If the student is still in the process of obtaining their prerequisite courses, DO apply by the deadlines.
After the posting of the grades the student will receive the formal program acceptance letter.
Students accepted into the program will work directly with the program coordinator to determine next steps.

Unfortunately, we do not offer advanced placement.

The only credits that will transfer are general education credits toward the paramedic A.A.S. degree, and we do not accept the transfer of paramedic core class credits.
