Pharmacy Technician
Hours: 75 | Tuition: $1000
The Program is designed to prepare students for employment in most pharmacy settings, ranging from community and hospital pharmacy to home health pharmacy.
Responsibilities, Duties and Competencies of a Pharmacy Technician typically include:
- Compounding sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals
- Utilizing and maintaining various types of pharmacy technology
- Performing Pharmaceutical calculation
- Packaging and re-packing medication
- Prepare and maintain prescription orders
- Provide useful customer service
- Maintain Patient confidentiality
- Distribute and deliver medications to patients
This course prepares the student for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board national certification exam.
*The fee for the national exam is NOT included in tuition.
