Pharmacy Technician

Hours: 75 | Tuition: $1000

The Program is designed to prepare students for employment in most pharmacy settings, ranging from community and hospital pharmacy to home health pharmacy.

Responsibilities, Duties and Competencies of a Pharmacy Technician typically include:

  • Compounding sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals
  • Utilizing and maintaining various types of pharmacy technology
  • Performing Pharmaceutical calculation
  • Packaging and re-packing medication
  • Prepare and maintain prescription orders
  • Provide useful customer service
  • Maintain Patient confidentiality
  • Distribute and deliver medications to patients

This course prepares the student for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board national certification exam.

*The fee for the national exam is NOT included in tuition.
