National Coming Out Day, Oct. 11

MCC is showing its PRIDE across the College in celebration of National Coming Out Day. There will be a table on each campus where employees and students can get more information and Pride swag. Join us as we celebrate the importance of being true to ourselves.

MCC is showing our PRIDE for National Coming Out Day.

MCC faculty, staff and administrators who choose to participate in the Out List demonstrate their commitment to ensuring the LGBTQ+ community has a visible presence at the College.

Sharing this information is one of the many ways we create an inclusive, welcoming campus for all our students, faculty, staff and visitors. Being visible may create opportunities for students and peers to identify mentors or a supportive person who can share in their experience as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.

We also recognize many people cannot contribute to creating community as a part of the Out List because it may not be safe for them to be out in this way. We affirm that there are multiple ways in which people exist in LGBTQ+ communities and that this list is only one way to find support on campus.

Although we do not include allies on this list, we ask each of you to continue challenging and growing yourself by continually supporting campus and community LGBTQIA+ policies, programs and events.
