New Student Orientation - Business and Technology

New Student Orientation (NSO) is a series of events, activities, and opportunities developed to assist students, both first-year and transfer, and their family members to transition to college or transferring from another institution. At NSO, you will complete essential tasks and gain information that is key to your success at MCC-Business and Technology. NSO is programmed for the entire block of time, so we ask that you please be prepared to stay for the entire session. If you will need a parking pass, please bring your ID and license with you. After participating in New Student Orientation, students will be able to: -Recognize the importance of making connections with faculty, staff and administrators. -Identify one way they can be actively engaged on campus and how a connection to campus eases the transition to college. -Familiarize themselves with locations of offices and support services available through their campus. (To include but not limited to tutoring, library, CL&L, faculty, police, etc.) -Be able to describe an academic goal and illustrate how it relates to their career goal. If you require special accommodations for the event, please contact the Disability Support Services Office at 816-604-6568. For questions regarding New Student Orientation, please contact the Campus Life and Leadership Office at 816-604-5209.
