Veteran-owned businesses are an integral part of our supplier diversity programs like minority-owned (MBE), women-owned (WBE), HubZone, and LGBTQ business enterprises.

The goal of the Veteran's Summit, "For Those Who Served" is to provide the veteran business owners with an experience to enhance business practices through interactive workshops and a Networking Event that is designed to bring regional institutions, municipalities, and state and federal government entities together in one venue to meet with veteran business enterprises (VBE) and service-disabled veteran enterprises (SDVBEs) for procurement opportunities. 

This year, MCC Supplier Diversity is partnering with the Department of the Navy and Missouri APEX Accelerator to bring small businesses together for government contracting event.

Workshops

This event will provide valuable information for small business, covering such topics as:

  • DON OSBP Achievement and Metric Goals
  • DON MEntor-Protege Program
  • How to Become Procurement Ready
  • 10 Navy & Marine Corps Buying Activities
  • Procurement information from other Government Agencies & Resource Partners
  • Open Format Networking and Matchmaking
  • Breakout Sessions and Roundtables

Networking Event

The Networking Event will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and is designed to bring regional institutions, municipalities, state and federal government entities, and resource partners together in one venue to meet with U.S. Veteran-Owned Enterprises, veterans re-entering civilian life, and family members.
