Ann Rahmat, Executive Administrative Assistant
Ann is a self-prescribed life-time member of the international community. Originally from Malaysia, she came to the United States as a student to earn a Bachelor in Business Administration degree, and 5 years later a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Texas.
Ann’s career path in international admissions and enrollment gave her the opportunity to work in post-secondary institutions in northern Texas and southeast Ohio before making her way to northeast Missouri. In her former career, she had the opportunity to participate, experience and reflect in the beauty and diversity of cultures in 28 countries in Asia, Europe, Middle East and north Africa. She appreciates, supports and advocate for students who are underrepresented in higher education.
She is most grateful and humble to be in 25 years inter-racial marriage with Richard. Ann considers her immigration experience and journey as a happy accident. Her lifelong passion is in education, learning and cultural exchange.
