Anti-Racism (virtual)

Program description: This is a virtual one-hour presentation on racism that will use a number of interactive modalities, including listening, speaking, reading, silence (reflection), and typing (moving). Because this is a process, this multi-part series aims to introduce foundational concepts, including the definition of racism, how it manifests, and how we begin the process to dismantle it actively.

Anti-Racism Part 2 (virtual)

Time: 8:00 - 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 - 5:00 P.M.

Program description: This program is to expand on the information shared in anti-racism part 1, and move into application and actively dismantling racism at MCC. One of the program objectives is to generate and receive authentic ideas and practices that encourage accountability to People of Color and other socially oppressed groups within the MCC community.

Cultural Competence and Cultural Humility (virtual)

Program description: Learning and applying intentional change is a process. The goal of this Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) series is to introduce foundational concepts which includes the definitions of cultural competence and cultural humility, completing a cultural competence self-assessment awareness tool and discussing ways to actively build our individual cultural competence and humility practices.
