Clayton Robinson

Clayton joined the counseling staff in 1997. He received his Master’s degree in Counseling from Webster University. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Emporia State University, where he was a 4-year basketball student-athlete.

Clayton facilitates personal and educational development through professional counseling, success coaching, and advocacy. After 23 years of service he still finds it very rewarding to assist students in identifying personal concerns, developing strengths and coping skills, overcoming difficult circumstances in their lives and achieving academic and personal success. In addition, he also teaches and host seminars each semester on career exploration.

Clayton’s counseling interest include career exploration, grief and loss, anxiety, time management, stress, motivation, wise-mind, and self-care/advocacy.

Clayton believes everyone has the capacity to change in a positive meaningful way. He works to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment to help students explore their goals, feelings, and behaviors.

When Clayton is away from campus, he is a man on the go spending his time fishing, cycling, and exploring the great outdoors! I look forward visiting with you soon. Be well.
