How to get Started
We offer in-person classes at multiple MCC campuses. Find something that sparks your interest and enroll today.
Prefer a fully online class? These online noncredit classes offer flexibility and convenience. Classes run for six weeks, and consist of 12 lessons.
All MCC campuses are closed until at least April 30 to minimize the spread of COVID-19. We encourage you to explore our online classes during this time. These classes are taken entirely over the internet and are available 24 hours a day. More than 300 classes in 14 subject areas are offered.
Important Notes About Enrollment:
- Pre-enrollment is required for all classes.
- Walk-ins are not accepted.
- Enrollment is not complete without payment.
- For classes requiring a book purchase, please contact the campus bookstore where your class is being held.
Two Easy Ways to Enroll:
- In Person: Visit one of the Community Education offices. Office hours.
- Online: Visit our online enrollment page to view and enroll in the classes of your choice.
A Word About Waiting to Enroll...
Every class has a minimum required enrollment. If this minimum is not met one week prior to the starting date, the class will be canceled. If you find a class you like, encourage a friend to join, too. Sometimes two or three people make the difference between "go" and "cancel."
When you enroll for a class, please mark the date, time and location on your calendar. We will send an email confirmation if you provide an email address at enrollment. We will notify you if a class in which you have enrolled is full or has been canceled or rescheduled.
Our instructors are paid from fees collected, so we must guarantee a minimum enrollment to schedule a class. If it becomes necessary for you to withdraw from a class, please contact the college at 814-604-1000, at least five business days prior to the class start date to request a full refund.
No refunds will be made for withdrawals fewer than five business days prior to the start of the class.
Classroom assignments for adult classes will be provided in your emailed course confirmation. You may park in any area on campus designated as Student Parking.
This information is based on conditions at the time of publishing and is subject to change. Classes may be canceled, combined or added, and instructor assignments, dates, times and/or locations may be changed at the discretion of Community Education administration.
Cancellations Due to Weather
When Metropolitan Community College District cancels classes, your Community Education class will not be held. Please be sure to listen for TV or radio announcements for cancellations. If you are unsure, you may call 816.604.1000.
Access for Students with Disabilities
If you have a disability which may impact your ability to access a class or community event, please contact the campus Disability Support Services (DSS) Coordinator. Early notification is helpful as some accommodations may take some time to put in place.
