Peer Leaders are exemplary students who will serve as role models and resources for new first-time students at MCC. Their primary purpose is to help new students succeed in college by providing personal experiences and insights related to their college experience and connecting students to campus resources. Much of their work is accomplished in College 100 courses, where they will help lead sections of the class on an as needed basis.


  • Must be a currently enrolled MCC student
  • Must have a 2.5 cumulative MCC GPA
  • Must have general office skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to handle several duties simultaneously
  • Must be upbeat, motivated, and able to work as a team and possess good customer service skills
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office programs
  • Must be in good standing with the College at the time of selection and throughout the duration of employment with MCC
  • Must have proven leadership ability and public speaking experience is preferred
  • Must be knowledgeable about campus and MCC
