ECED 260 - Education of the Exceptional Child (3 credits)
Prerequisites: ECED 113 and ECED 149 (or concurrent enrollment) with a C or higher. This course is centered on the care and education of children with special needs, and the skills required to interact with and support their families. This course follows the guidelines of Kansas and Missouri Core Competencies for Early Child Care and Education Professionals and level II of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Professional Standards and Competencies for Early Childhood Educators.
