Metropolitan Community College does not offer child care as a student service. However, there are child care facilities near two of our campuses. Please inquire directly with them as to how they could serve your child care needs.
There is a YMCA Child Care Center located near the main campus in the Northland Human Services Building. Educational programs are available for children ages two-and-a-half to five. Every full-time staff person at the YMCA Care Center is trained in early childhood education.

Plaza de Ninos is a year-round preschool located in the Westside community, serving children aged two to five. Our primary goal is to provide a bilingual kindergarten readiness program designed to enhance the areas of social competence, cognitive skills, language, physical development and positive self-direction. MCC supports nursing mothers and provides a lactation room in the following campus locations –

Longview: Campus Center first floor, Key available in the Student Development Deans Office, CC third floor
Maplewood: Adm 107B – contact Debra Oakes in the Dean of Student Development Office to access the room.
Penn Valley: Science and Technology Building, third floor, located inside the women’s student restroom. Additional information is available in the Dean’s office (501 Campus Center). Health Science Institute: 408 Y HSI, Inquire in the Nursing or Allied Health Division offices, 4th floor.
