Wolves on the Prowl!
The 2019-20 Wolves have already faced a tough schedule loaded with top teams from NJCAA’s national rankings. Leading our attack this season are sophomore Right Hitter/Setter Kaitlyn Haller, currently ranked 12th in kills in the nation followed closely by Freshmen Outside Hitter Reganne Young. This duo has produced over 400 kills already this season! The Wolves are still shored up on defense by returning sophomore Libero, Tori Lepage, also in the top ten in the nation in total digs and digs per set, and sophomore Defensive Specialist, Odessa Williams. The Wolves look to be a strong competitive program as the season progresses.
Over the past ten seasons, MCC Volleyball has emerged as one of the premiere programs in the NJCAA.
The program has been ranked nationally, including several years in the top 10, and has qualified six times for the national tournament including four seasons finishing 6th, 8th, 9th, and 13th respectively. MCC is also an 8-time Region XVI champion.
Additionally, the team was named as an Academic All American team in 2005, 2008, 2011, and 2018. Individually, MCC Volleyball student athletes have garnered 4 All Americans and 27 All Region honors over the past ten years.
Head Coach Rob Kaleikau, 6-time Region XVI Coach of the Year, is entering his 11th season at the helm and credits the team’s success to hardworking athletes, a great coaching staff, and strong support and leadership from MCC athletic and administrative executives.
