Fine Art Performances

MCC connects our students and our community members to the arts through a variety of galleries and venues. Our MCC-Penn Valley campus located in Midtown Kansas City is home to the Kemper Center for Visual Arts where we host nationally renowned artists in our gallery. In Lee’s Summit, our MCC-Longview Cultural Arts Center boasts a contemporary art gallery and a black box theater. And, in Independence, our MCC-Blue River Chorale performs throughout the community.

The CAC has fostered student and community creativity and innovation since its creation. It was the vision of MCC to provide a home for the arts in the city of Lee's Summit. With the help of a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant the CAC broke ground in 2006. The CAC is not only a hub for the arts; it is also a FEMA certified disaster relief shelter.
