MCC-Blue River PSI offers an agency contract pricing which is less expensive than the CEU hourly rate. (Exception: Instructor Development, First Line Supervisor and Kaminsky FTO are not covered on contract)

In this eight-hour block of training, Drug Det. Pete Oulman will discuss the most common illegal narcotics and ways that will help street officers to identify them.  This includes "bath salts" and K-2, which is now becoming very popular in the Midwest. Det. Oulman will also discuss "interdiction" strategies.

Retired KCPD Sgt. Roy Orth will discuss physical and emotional signs which might lead an officer to believe that a child has been physically abused. Sgt. Orth spent eight years as Det. Sgt. over the child Abuse Unit in Kansas City.

Academy instructors will discuss firearms survival issues and officers will utilize the MILO laser Weapons in simulated scenarios.  CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED TO 15 -- OFFICERS MUST REGISTER TO RESERVE A PLACE IN CLASS.  This course meets the POST required 4 hours of firearms training.
