The MCC-Longview Cultural Arts Center Gallery opened in October 2008
and ever since, it has been our desire and ongoing goal to develop a conceptually challenging and educational venue for our students, faculty and communities both near and far. The gallery showcases the work of our own students and faculty, but also on a regular basis presents exhibits from emerging artists throughout our region and the nation. In addition, the gallery displays the strongest work of our local high school students each January for our annual high school juried exhibit.
On average the gallery has seven exhibits per year, two of which are dedicated to our students for, "End of Semester" shows and one exhibit is set aside for our, "Lee's Summit Fine Arts Challenge" which is our local high school annual exhibit. Every other year we have an art faculty exhibit showcasing the latest accomplishments and projects of our faculty.
The gallery offers 1,600 square-feet of dedicated space for 2D, 3D and 4D works of art. For gallery inquiries please contact Daniel Reneau at firstname.lastname@example.org.
