Educational Opportunity Center

The Kansas City Educational Opportunity Center is one of only three EOCs in Missouri and has been serving area residents since 1979. The program operates on a grant funded by the U.S. Department of Education administered by Metropolitan Community College. Currently, the program is funded to assist 2500 individuals annually, two-thirds of whom are low-income, first generation college students. The primary goal of EOC is to assist participants in pursuing postsecondary education. This is accomplished by offering free services.
