An education in speech and drama not only includes some of the most exciting courses at a college campus, but also opens up an amazing number of career doors. Here are just a few:
These courses develop the confidence and communication skills you need to compete in the workforce and find a job anywhere. You can select from courses in debate, communication, acting, theater, film and more. Blue River and Longview campuses have strong theater departments that let will put your talent in lights.
Our speech and drama program is built around the Associate in Arts (AA) degree. This degree gives you a solid background in general education courses that can transfer to a four-year institution. It also allows 17 hours of elective courses that let you home in on your speech and drama interests.
While MCC does not offer a degree in this field, these lower division (freshman/sophomore level) courses move with you to a four year college or university and depending on your chosen major may apply toward your degree or as an elective. Check with your transfer school and your MCC academic advisor for the most accurate and timely transfer information.
