Metropolitan Community College awards certificates to students who complete various
career and technical programs. While each campus offers some of the same certificates,
others are offered only at one of the MCC campuses.
Explanation of Terms
Cost of Program
Tuition and fees have been calculated using the in-district rate. Additional fees may apply if the student chooses to take hybrid or online coursework. Book costs are estimated.
Length of Program
Most programs at MCC are designed so that the student can choose how many credits to enroll in each semester. For these programs, the given length assumes the student enrolls in 12 credit hours per semester and does not enroll in summer classes. This means, for example, that students who attend part-time are not counted here as on-time completers.
Students enrolled in full-time cohort programs such as Allied Health, Nursing, Police, and Fire follow an established course sequence. Students in these programs who do not complete the entire sequence of courses are not counted as on-time completers.
Placement Rate
Placement is reported under the rules of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Completers who do not respond to placement surveys or who respond and are not employed are counted as not placed. Completers who are employed, continuing their education, or in the military are counted as placed.
Debt
MCC does not certify private loans for students, and does not have institutional financing plans that last beyond the semester.
