Receptionists may answer phones, schedule appointments, collect payments, and dispense medications. They also communicate to the veterinarian or vet techs any emergency patients that may arrive at the door. Veterinary receptionists must have great communication and customer service skills, as every person who comes into the office will come in contact with the receptionist.
