Private Instruction is a one-on-one lesson between a student and a teacher. Everyone is welcome, from beginner to experienced musicians. Your teacher will work with you at your level. Lessons are available for voice and most instruments including brass, guitar, percussion, piano, strings and woodwinds.
Fall & Spring Semesters
A one credit hour lesson is a 30-minute lesson once a week.
A two credit hour lesson is a one-hour lesson once a week.
A one credit hour lesson is a one-hour lesson once a week.
A two credit hour lesson is a one-hour lesson twice a week.
If you would like to take Private Instruction, you need to enroll in the class: MUSI 130 (one credit hour) or MUSI 131 (two credit hours). After enrolling, fill out and turn in a schedule planner for each enrolled lesson. Your teacher will contact you with your lesson time. In the fall and spring semesters, lessons will begin the second week of classes. In the summer semester, lessons will begin on Wednesday of the first week of classes.
Guitar, piano, and voice are offered in a class setting as well as private instruction. For information on these courses, go to course information.
