Keep America Beautiful Quilt Project

or our community invitation to participate in PDF format!

Few material goods in this world are as precious as a hand-made quilt. Our grandmothers have been keeping us warm and handing down the labors of their love for generations, and it is in this spirit that we at Upsilon Kappa Chapter decided to create a quilt in dedication to the mother of us all, the Earth.

Phi Theta Kappa is working in partnership with Keep America Beautiful, and this quilt is one of our fundraising activities to help further that cause. Each of the elements of the quilt are available for purchase, and will be decorated with your or your business' name in return for your donation.

May Update!

Work on the quilt continues and is in need of materials and donations!

Post-convention Update!

The convention was a great success! We had nearly one hundred chapters sign leaves and dedicate themselves to preserving the environment over the next year. The Keep America Beautiful headquarters staff saw the idea and were very pleased!

Here are officers Mary, Alician, Jeanette and Sara at our convention booth, selling flip-flops, magnets and signing chapters up for fellowship commitments.

We're making a quilt!

The idea of making a quilt was approved by the members of Upsilon Kappa and preparations were made to bring quilt tree leaves to the Phi Theta Kappa International Convention as part of a fellowship project.

How can I make a donation?
Placement on the quilt is limited, email us for confirmation of an element, and we'll take care of everything from there.
Can I use my business' logo?
Yes! Supply us with either a logo on fabric (like a t-shirt) of which we will cut out the logo and sew it directly into the quilt, or give us a good sized print on paper of the logo and we will make a transfer out of it.
Can you sign the quilt element for me?
Yes! We will be happy to sign (very neatly!) for you, just give us the correct spelling!
Do I get a spot on the quilt if I make a materials donation?
Yes! We will incorporate your name or logo into our quilt happily!
When is the unveiling?
Tentatively scheduled for Earth Day 2007 at the Writer's Place.
How big is the quilt?
Approximately 6 feet by 7 feet.
Is this a tax-free donation?
