Penn Valley offers a variety of Art classes for
purposes of transfer, career enhancement, and personal pleasure and
fulfillment. There is something for everyone: over 60 art classes
are in the catalogue, including Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Sculpture,
Photography, Digital Photography, Graphic Design, and Web Design.
There are two
art career programs offered at PVCC: the Graphic
Design A.A.S. degree program and the Digital
Prepress Technician Certificate program.
The Art Department has three full time
faculty members, Darlene Town, Mary Beth Moley, and Bernadette Torres.
Several professionals working in their fields make up our Adjunct
faculty. Students in the art classes have frequent opportunities
to show their works on campus and in the student newspaper, Spectrum.
The Art Department is housed in the state-of-the-art
Carter Center for Visual Arts and Imaging Technology, which includes
gallery areas, offices, and updated classrooms.
At MCC-Penn Valley you'll enjoy the convenience
of flexible class times and nearby location. You'll get dedicated
instructors and excellent student services—all at an affordable cost. |
