Philomene Bennett and Louis Marak, originally from Nebraska and Oklahoma, have called Kansas City, "home" for the past 50 years. Philomene and Louis were instrumental in the creation of the Kansas City Artists Coalition. Numerous professional art organizations can boast about their member, Philomene. She has received an abundance of awards for her art. Philomene spreads her knowledge by teaching art. Louis has worked at Hallmark Cards and as a freelance artist doing commissioned work around the city.
With two B.F.A. degrees, over 200 local and international exhibits between them, their works are in many public and private collections all over the United States - to name a few; Hallmark, The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C., American Express, Daum Museum,Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art and Rockhurst University.
