There is a shortage of engineering and technology teachers in the U.S., as well as in the Kansas City region. A quality education for the next generation of engineers and technicians will assure our country has a strong workforce ready to solve the challenges of the 21st century.

A recent high school graduate or someone with some college credit would be a great candidate for this program. For people with a completed college degree, Central also has an alternative certification program that is available online.

The Engineering & Technology Teacher Education program will prepare you for a fulfilling career as a certified middle or high school Project Lead the Way teacher.

This unique program is offered entirely in the Kansas City area as a joint effort of the University of Central Missouri Summit Center in Lee's Summit and Metropolitan Community College - Business & Technology campus.
