Customer Service Representative Training (for Contracts Only)
Virtually every business has a need for a customer service representative to handle inbound and outbound service calls. In addition to a variety of small and big businesses, Kansas City has been hailed as a major hub for call center customer service companies. Companies like Citicorp, Gateway, UMB, Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon house major call centers in Kansas City and are looking for skilled representative to work for them. Centers like these are looking for representatives to handle voice calls, faxes, e-mail, voice-response system interactions, Web-based transactions and video calls.
Customer service representative pay ranges can range from $9.00 to $14.00 with benefits including medical, dental and tuition reimbursement. Center operations generally run 24 hours a day 7 days a week making for a variety of shifts. The majority of companies will place employees on evening shifts.
Some attributes of a good customer service representative include:
- Enjoy working for and serving others

- Ability to control feelings
- Sensitivity towards people and an ability to show compassion or empathy
- Pleasing personality
Course Outline and Objectives

Students learn hands on with our state-of-the-art equipment and simulated customer information application.
