ISO Documents Module

The controlled documents in an ISO Quality Management System are documents that pertain to and define the quality-controlled business practices of an organization. These documents consist of system procedures, work instructions, forms, a quality manual and quality plan, job aids, and other related quality records.

Most of the controlled documents in your system can be created in Microsoft Word and converted to a read-only format (Adobe PDF file format) that restricts the user's ability to make changes to the document. Images, spreadsheets and flowcharts can be embedded in the Word document as well.

The Document Control Administrator has the responsibility of uploading official versions of controlled documents. When a new document or a new revision of an existing controlled document needs to be put online, the Document Control Administrator completes the steps.

Once the Document Control Administrator has uploaded the controlled document to the eQMS sysem, then the document is accessible for view by any user with access.
