Industrial electrical technicians work in a wide range of locations. Many maintain electrical equipment in factories. A large number of technicians travel about metropolitan areas servicing equipment at customer locations.How long does it take to get a certificate or degree?
It only takes one semester in the program to be job ready. Typically, our students will take further course work part time after being hired, completing the associate in applied science degree over a four-year period. A full-time student can complete the degree in two years.Will my credits transfer to another college or university?
Yes! Most general education courses will transfer without problem. This program has a formal transfer agreement with DeVry University and Central Missouri State University. Check with your advisor or counselor and the transfer institution to make sure your transfer will go smoothly.How much money can I make in this career?
Entry level salary in this career is typically in the $10 to $12 per hour range. After five years experience, a $20 to $30 per hour salary is typical depending upon the complexity of the equipment maintained.What is the job outlook for someone in this field?
